While working for Tetra Design Co, I have had a chance to do a variety of projects. This specific project aids in promoting and celebrating Quigley Motor Company's 50th anniversary. Quigley is the leading supplier of 4x4 conversions for full-size vans and cut-aways, globally. They have owners of Quigley vans in all 50 states and internationally. Quigley put out a questionnaire on social media asking for owners to submit photographs of these vans. I was tasked with creating an icon of each state that could be translated for use on social media incorporating the submitted photographs from the correlating states. To capture the essence of each state clearly and concisely, I chose to explore the route of hand lettering. This resulted in 50 san-serif forms inside the borders of each state with a few additional international countries for those who were eager to participate and show off their Quigley van!
